Dr. Gyimah Whitaker is superintendent of City Schools of Decatur and ex-officio member of the DEF board. She joined CSD as superintendent in July 2023. She has more than two decades of leadership experience, including serving as deputy chief academic officer for Fulton County Schools, where she supervised the assistant superintendents of Student Support Services and Learning and Teaching.
