F.AVE Media Specialist Corinne Smith sought a way to offer her fourth and fifth grade students innovative learning projects that encouraged them to use critical thinking skills to design and construct. With limited space in the library, she purchased a JellyBOX 3D printer that classes could check out for a six-week term. The students first assemble the printer themselves, then they design and “print” a product that aligns with their project’s objective. Every classroom can create something different, but the process teaches everyone the same important life skills: collaboration and problem-solving.
