Math teacher Mr. Champion at CSD Decatur High School sought some hands-on activities that would inspire his students and show them how math is used in daily life. They planned out a monthly project, (using materials purchased with help from a DEF grant), and worked with community experts like Decatur Makers to make math fun! These students are learning useful skills, being exposed to new hobbies, and are learning how math can be applied to everyday life – that’s win x win x win!
