Our 2nd Annual Battle of the Bands was a Hit!
We are still beaming with gratitude after this weekend’s Battle of the Bands. Once again our community —YOU — showed up in a big way, with energy, smiles, and so much school pride.
This year 764 of you came together to fill the Legacy lawn with music, laughter, and cheers for our incredible schools. And it was more than just a concert — it was a celebration of what makes Decatur such a special place to live, learn, and grow.
Events like this don’t happen without the collective spirit of our neighbors. From volunteers who helped set up, check in, tear down, and sell concessions; to every parent, student, and friend who joined in the fun — thank you. Your participation turned an afternoon of music into a moment of community pride we’ll carry with us all year long.
Blankets and Photos
If you didn’t get a chance to snag one of our limited-edition picnic blankets at the event, we still have a few available for purchase.
And because we want to keep reliving the joy, we would love to see your photos from the day! Please share them with us here.
Congratulations, Glennwood Eagles!
Of course, we have to give a special shoutout to the Glennwood Eagles. For the second year in a row, Glennwood showed up en masse, defended their title, and proudly brought home the trophy. The school spirit was undeniable — congratulations on such a great display of community and pride!
With Gratitude
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Decatur. You made this year’s Battle of the Bands a shining example of how powerful it is when we come together to support our students and schools. We are already excited to see what next year will bring! Until then, keep the music and the community spirit alive.
